Project Based Learning Training
Finding that you or your school needs to start incorporating Project Based Learning into its curriculum? Educators of America can show you how to successfully integrate PBL methods into lessons and entire departments. Our PBL training services are effective and hands-on. We will guide you, your department, and your school on all aspects of PBL while kickstarting an initial problem or question for your first project.

Our PBL training is offered in two different programs. We provide two options of PBL training for a variety of reasons but mostly because schools or institutions may only want a short-term workshop that provides an overview of PBL and how to incorporate while others may look for a long-term PBL consulting service.
What Does PBL Training Look Like with Educators of America?
Well it looks pretty exciting and engaging. But to be truthful, each PBL training with Educators of America depends on the school, institution, and individuals that we work with! We are always bringing energy to each workshop and we encourage those involved to participate, ask questions, and shout out ideas.

Below you can discover which option of PBL Training you or your school would like to receive. Some schools begin with the short term workshop to grasp what PBL is, how it can work for their institution, and how to begin using it and then they will contact Educators of America looking to begin a long-term consultation project. It is completely up to the teacher, department or school! We are more than willing to answer any question and guide you through what we offer.

Short Term PBL Workshops
The Short Term PBL Workshops are designed to introduce the Project Based Learning concept and method. By giving an in-depth presentation on PBL, we allow participants to fully grasp Project Based Learning, why it exists, and how it can be used in classrooms, across departments and in current or future curriculum.

The Short Term Workshops are typically a week long and training is done by departments across a grade or by grades. So for example, we would work with the 7th Grade History Department on a Monday, the Science Department the following day, the Math Department the next and so on and so forth.

By the end of the week long workshop, each department would be trained in Project Based Learning and be able to collaborate with other departments on a project that has been mutually decided upon by all departments. Whether that project is a community challenge or a need or even one that is education-focused.

Each Teacher and Educator involved in the workshop will receive a Certificate signifying that they are Officially Certified Project Based Learning Educators at the conclusion of the training. At Educators of America, we prefer to monitor and evaluate the workshop so that we can get information on how effective we were, what we did well on and what we can improve upon.

Long Term PBL Consulting
Please enjoy this short video so you can get an idea of what a Long Term PBL consulting agreement and implementation might look like at your school or institution. The video below takes place over a two and a half year period but the results on student achievement, school identity and culture are undeniably worth it.
With the Long Term PBL Consulting Agreement, we are focused on instigating positive behavior change of students and teachers in order to improve development and engagement. In order to do such, we work alongside administrators, educators, and students as co-facilitators and project planners. We speak with our audiences, not to them.

Each PBL training and implementation program is on a school-by-school basis where some programs may last longer or shorter than others, dependent upon numerous variables. There is no specific program length for the Long Term PBL Consulting, however, once we hold an initial meeting, program details and itinerary can be properly established.
