Overall, PBL offers a long-term multi-disciplinary goal based on real world challenges or problems that drive students to use a myriad of skills including teamwork, critical-thinking, and peer/teacher engagement. In the end, a student or group of students will present their finished work to the public, encouraging public speaking skills while they offer a viable solution to community issues such as brownfields, hunger, or sustainable economic development.
